Ingredients
2 cups besan (gram flour)
1 cup ghee
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp chopped almonds
2 tbsp chopped pistachios
Directions
- Heat a heavy-bottomed pan over medium flame.
- Add besan and dry roast it until it turns light golden brown and releases a nutty aroma. Make sure to stir continuously to prevent burning.
- Add ghee and mix well. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring continuously, until the mixture becomes fragrant and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
- Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Add powdered sugar, cardamom powder, and chopped almonds to the mixture. Mix well to combine.
- Allow the mixture to cool until it is warm to the touch but can still be handled.
- Take a small amount of mixture in your hand and roll it into a small ball shape. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
- Garnish each ladoo with chopped pistachios.
