5 Easy Party Desserts You Can Make in 15 Minutes

So you’ve been asked to bring the dessert to the party. Whether you’re a seasoned baker, or relatively new to this whole cooking thing, we’ve got 5 delicious and easy desserts you can make it 15 minutes or less. Whether you tell anyone your secrets, is up to you.

Gooey Banana Marshmallow


Bring out your inner child with this gooey, chocolaty treat. The dark chocolate totally classes it up to an adult dessert (at least that’s what we’re going to tell ourselves).


  • Bananas – sliced
  • Dark chocolate bar – chopped
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Caramel sauce

To Make:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F
  2. Line a baking pan with aluminum foil (9×9 or smaller)
  3. Lay in banana slices ½ -1 inch thick
  4. Sprinkle dark chocolate on top
  5. Drizzle with caramel sauce
  6. Add a layer of marshmallows
  7. Drizzle top with caramel sauce
  8. Bake for 5-6 minutes – until marshmallows are puffy and chocolate starts to melt
  9. Cut into pieces
  10. Serve and enjoy!


Tropical Trifle


The traditional trifle gets a new look with tropical flavors. If you can, make this before you start getting dressed for the party, this will give it time to cool in the fridge.


  • 2 tbsp orange flavored liqueur
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 8 lady fingers
  • 3-4 cups sliced mango
  • Fresh strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries
  • ⅓ cup icing sugar
  • 1 cup cream cheese – softened
  • ½ cup heavy cream – whipped

To Make:

  1. Mix orange juice and orange liqueur together
  2. In another bowl mix together cream cheese and icing sugar
  3. Gently fold in whipping cream
  4. Break the ladyfingers in half and dip into orange juice
  5. Place half the lady fingers in the bottom of the dish
  6. Place in half of the mangos
  7. Spoon half the cream cheese mixture into bowl
  8. Sprinkle in half the berries
  9. Repeat all 4 layers
  10. Chill in the fridge (recommended 1+ hours)
  11. Serve and enjoy!


Caramel Fondue


Who doesn’t love a fondue?! Serve with your favorite fruits and cakes. You can bet guests will be hanging around the kitchen indulging in this sweet treat.


  • 40 caramels (11 oz)
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 1 tsp dark rum
  • Fresh fruit slices – ex: strawberries, bananas, apples
  • Cake pieces – ex: vanilla, chocolate
  • Marshmallows

To Make:

  1. In a medium saucepan combine caramels, milk, and rum
  2. Cook over medium-low for 10 minutes until smooth, stirring occasionally
  3. Pour into a fondue pot
  4. Serve with fruit slices and cake pieces
  5. Enjoy!


Vegan Chocolate Mouse


Surprise your friends with a vegan chocolate mouse. It’s so creamy and rich, they’ll never know it’s vegan, unless you decide to tell them.


  • 1 cup dark chocolate (dairy free)
  • 3 cups (700 g) silken tofu
  • ⅔ cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp dark rum
  • 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste
  • pinch of sea salt
  • Pinch of chilli flakes (optional)

To Make:

  1. In a double boiler, gently melt chocolate
  2. Drain silken tofu and place in a blender with remaining ingredients
  3. Blend for 1-2 minutes, until smooth
  4. Slowly add in the melted chocolate and pulse until smooth
  5. Divide the mixture into small, individual sized bowls
  6. Chill in fridge for 15 minutes
  7. Serve and enjoy!


Orange Ginger Jelly


Serve something light, with a nice zesty kick of ginger. Just make sure you hide one for yourself, before they’re all gone.


  • 3 + 1/3 cups orange juice
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 gelatine sachets (23g)
  • Mandarin oranges
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (vanilla)

To Make:

  1. In a small sauce pan, heat orange juice until warm
  2. Add in sugar and stir until melted
  3. Add in grated ginger
  4. Take off the heat and sprinkle in gelatine, stir quickly
  5. In small cups, place a round slice of mandarin in the bottom
  6. Pour in orange juice
  7. Let sit in fridge for 3 hours, until set
  8. Top with a spoonful of Greek yogurt
  9. Serve and enjoy!
